New Beginnings XVIII

March 1992

It was well past seven PM when Lexi was finally able to close her accounting books, use the restroom (AGAIN) and lock the back door to the clinic. Michael had Jean Luc prepare a meal for them at The Hideout in Century City and she was in a hurry to meet him there. She had managed to change into a loose fitting red empire waist dress that hit just above her knees and stiletto heels. She swore she would wear them as long as she could when he was asking her on a “date.” Lost in thought she dropped her keys as she reached for the car door. Sighing as she bent down to retrieve them she fell against her car when someone pushed her and snatched them away. She saw his shoes first, several years out of fashion but expensive and highly shined. Then she smelled his cologne, sickly sweet and layered on so thick it made her want to vomit. “I believe you dropped these, young lady.” Joseph’s outstretched hand held her car keys and she reached out for them but he dropped the set in his pocket. Lexi tried to keep from reacting, but she could feel her panic beginning to build. “What do you want Mr. Jackson.” He took a step closer to her, “Well I been trying ta talk ta my Son, but it seems he don wanna talk ta me now he got you around all the time. Dats gonna have ta change, ya hear?” She looked around hoping, praying someone would be walking or driving down the alley to help her. “Um…I, uh Joe-Mr. Jackson, Michael has been very busy with the album and um prepar…” Joseph interrupted her, “Listen…this is a family thang. We Jackson’s don’t let no women mess up our business…no matter how good they look.” Taking another step towards her she could feel his breath on her cheek and she turned her face to the side. “Please…I’ll tell him to call you. Really I have to go. He is expecting…” She heard his barely audible grunt and felt his hand slide up her thigh, “Remember the pool…” Lexi pulled away but he held her against the car, “You aint going nowhere yet!” He continued to run his hand up her leg until he reached her backside, “I think about you at that pool a lot girl.” Tears formed in her eyes and she tried to push him away, “Please….please I’m begging you.” “That’s right, beg…I want to hear ya.” His arm went up around the small of her back and he passed his free hand across her breast. “Please stop this.” She tried to kick him but he held her tightly against the car. “I think it’s time that I find out what my boy thinks is so special.” As his hand began to pass across her stomach he stopped and his eyes grew wide before he pushed her away. “No way are you gettin at his money. You a damn hoe like the rest of ‘em. I warned him once…now look what you done did. Stay away from him, I swear…stay away.” Walking backwards he threw the keys down, pointing at her as he spoke. Lexi grabbed her stomach, picked up her keys and jumped in the car. Locking the doors quickly before he could come back, she struggled to compose herself. Unable to breathe, she couldn’t see straight…but she had to get out of there and fast. She backed up and sped down the alley and onto Figueroa, barely ahead of a pickup truck that was barreling down the street. Pulling her seatbelt tight around her she pointed her car for Michael and safety.

Pounding on the door, Lexi practically fell through it when Michael opened it for her. “Hey…dinners ready. Jean Luc made us some…” Michael stood open mouthed as she flew by and into the bathroom. She had stripped out of her dress and climbed in the shower before he even made it in behind her. “Lexi, what the hell is going on?” She didn’t answer him; she just stood under the water letting it wash away her fears. It felt like Déjà vu all over again, like the first day she met Joseph at Neverland. Finally opening the shower door, Michael watched her standing there, head in her hands…shoulders shaking from her emotions. He didn’t even think, he just climbed in with her. His clothing quickly became soaked to his skin as he held her tight. “Lexi are you alright, is the baby OK?” She nodded as she laid her head against his chest.  Her hiccups from her tears jerking her against him as Michael kissed her face softly, “Damn it Lex, please tell me why you are crying?” Catching her breath she looked up at him and shook her head, “You don’t want to know.” “What do you mean I don’t want to know, of course I do? Look at you! You are having some kind of breakdown and I want to know why Lexi. Jesus, just tell me!” Michael almost shook her to get her attention as he raised his voice in frustration. Unable to face him, Lex slumped to the bottom of the shower holding her stomach in her hands. Michael pushed his hair back out of his face and turned off the water. He quickly stripped off his clothes, picked her up in a towel and carried her to the bed. Heading back to the bathroom he dried off as fast as he could, trying to figure out what had happened. Nothing was making sense…unless. “Lexi, Diane didn’t call you did she?” Her eyes were almost swollen shut, but he could see the hurt in them before she rolled over in the bed to face the wall. He knew that question had upset her but he didn’t care at this point. “Here put this on.” Michael had dug an old sweatshirt of Bill’s out of the drawer and handed it to her along with her panties from the bathroom. “We got to get you some more of those; they are too small on you.” He observed dryly as she pulled them up to her hips. Lexi shot him a go to hell look and lay back down on the bed, “Shut up Michael, I don’t need that right now.” He sat down next to her as he pulled his t-shirt on, placing his hand on her hip. “Please tell me what’s wrong; you know how scared you have me right?” She just stared at the wall, an occasional sniffle being the only sound she made. Eventually he just lay down behind her, putting his arm protectively around her middle. “I’ll wait; tell me when you’re ready.” They remained that way for about fifteen minutes when she finally spoke. “I was getting in the car to come over here. I wasn’t really paying attention; so I guess it’s my fault.” Michael bent his head forward and kissed her cheek before she continued. “I dropped my keys and when I bent down somebody pushed me backward into the car.” He swallowed hard and pulled her tighter as she went on in a whisper, “Michael…it was Joseph.”

It was if every drop of blood in his body suddenly rushed to his ears, and eyes. Gritting his teeth he calmly asked her, “It was who?” Barely able to speak through her fresh batch of tears she said his name again. “Joseph”. Michael sat straight up in the bed pulling her with him, his voice demanding an answer. “What happened Alexis? What did he say?” She shook her head and tried to pull her arm away. “What did he say?” Before she could even speak, he understood why she didn’t want to answer him. She barely heard his question and he couldn’t look her in the eye when he asked it. “Did he hurt you? Please tell me he didn’t…” Her interruption was a welcome relief, “Michael don’t say it…he, he. Michael he knows about the baby now.” “How does he know, you didn’t tell him did you?” Michael looked into her eyes knowing the truth already, “No, he touched…he felt the baby.” He flew off the bed and into the living room, grabbing the phone off of the desk. He was so angry he could barely dial the number.  “Let me talk to Joseph! No I don’t want to talk to Mother, I said let me talk to Joseph…Alejandra damn it, put him on the phone. What do you mean he’s in Vegas? When did he leave? Are you sure he left yesterday…listen to me, you tell everybody in that god forsaken house to have him call me right away. Is that clear enough? He can call Sandy. They can always track me down. Alejandra, don’t mess this up, I swear to god” Michael clicked the button on the phone and threw it at the wall where it broke into pieces. How dare he, he was sick…sick and cruel. He deliberately meant to hurt Michael the only way he could, and had succeeded. Now he had to pick up the pieces, just like always. But this time he didn’t think he could forgive him like he had in the past, this time there was no forgetting either.

Finally he realized he needed to burn off some energy and went in the kitchen and made Lexi a small plate of the food Jean Luc had prepared. “You need to come eat.” She still lay staring at the wall where he left her. “I’m not hungry, thank you.” “Please get up and eat.” She could tell by the tone in his voice that if he had to ask her again it would not be the smartest move she had ever made in her life.

Getting out of bed she brushed her hair in the bathroom and pulled the sweatshirt up to look at her stomach. Fifteen weeks, his roaming hands had definitely felt a lot. There was no hiding it anymore she supposed. She stared at her reflection wondering what she was going to do in another two weeks when Michael left for the video shoot. He told her she could go and she was considering it, but four days in the desert wasn’t appealing right now and looking at beautiful Naomi Campbell dancing with him even less. Work was a better option, the clinic was swamped and they needed her. She missed school desperately, funny how their plans were coming together….Yet sometimes she felt so lost. She just needed to stay busy and trust that Michael was doing as he promised.

Michael sat at the table and watched her try to eat her dinner, “Lexi please eat. It’s good.” She pushed her plate away and took a drink of her water, “Oh yeah, then why didn’t you join me” His fingers tapped on the table, “I just can’t right now, maybe later.” The phone rang and he sprang out of his seat to answer it in the game room. Lexi decided to stay at the table afraid of what she might hear if it was Joseph. He finally came back many minutes later and looked at her solemnly. “That was Mother.” Walking over to the patio doors he paused for a moment before continuing. “Joseph called her. He said he heard from some of his so called sources that you were pregnant and that she needed to call me and make sure I had talked to my lawyers about protecting my assets.” Leaning his forehead against the glass he closed his eyes trying to control his emotions, “Lexi, she didn’t even say congratulations or ask if you are alright. Why do they have to be like that? For once it would be nice if they would be happy for me.” Walking up behind him she wrapped her arms around his waist, “Maybe we should draw up some papers, I wouldn’t want any of your people thinking I was trying to take advantage of you.” Michael looked at her strangely, “Why would you even say something like that? We made this decision together. It’s not like we weren’t trying to have a baby.” Lexi wouldn’t look at him and she started to turn to sit down, “What did he say to you? He must have said something for you to be acting like this.” He tried to reach for her hand but she slipped out his grasp and sat down on the couch, “Michael you know your Father, I don’t need to tell you what he said to me.” As he sat down beside her he took a deep breath, “Let me guess he called you some horrible name and swore you wouldn’t get near my money.” Lexi nodded her head, “Yeah that’s pretty much it. I guess you really do know him.” “Lexi, we’ll get some legal papers drawn up eventually. I mean we need a pre-up anyway, but I am not letting my family force me into anything.”

She sat in complete silence, trying to think of the appropriate words to respond to him. “Hey, you still with me girl?” Michael pulled her face around with his finger under her chin. “You are still going to marry me right?” Pulling her legs up underneath her she cuddled up next to him. “It’s just not something I go around thinking about. I just want us together and happy when the baby gets here.” Michael chewed on his lower lip, thinking about what she had said, “Hold on, stay right here.” He got up and went to the bedroom. Lexi could hear him shuffling around for a few moments before he returned. Standing in front of her he smiled nervously while shifting from side to side. “Michael what are you up to?” Lexi asked softly. Suddenly he knelt down in front of her and held the ring she had given back to him in his hand. “I wanted to ask you properly that night at Neverland Lex. I never gave up hope that you would come back to me either. Being married doesn’t mean I love you more, but it does show the world how much my commitment is to you and our baby. Marry me Alexis, I do mean what the inscription inside this ring says. You really do complete me….Now and forever.” Lexi saw his dark eyes turn glossy as he waited for her reply. She looked down at the ring as it sparkled in the light and then at her bare finger as it rested on her growing stomach. “You know I love you Michael, right?” He slowly nodded his head and waited on her reply. “Well I have to be honest with you then. I don’t think I am ready to wear that ring yet.” Michael was stunned; he had never thought she would turn him down. “Lexi I thought you loved me?” His head tilted down and she saw the tears drop from his eyes, “I do love you. I just… I don’t know Babe. I guess I just don’t want a bunch of pressure coming at us that we don’t need.” Michael sat down on the floor and laid his head in her lap. “Are you saying this because of what Joseph did tonight?” She felt his fingers softly caressing her leg, “Partly, I suppose. I don’t want everyone thinking I am after your money. I just want to have our family and then we can work on the rest.” Looking up at her she saw apprehension in his eyes, “Please just say yes, Lexi. I’m afraid….” He couldn’t finish the sentence and she slid down onto the floor beside him. “What are you afraid of, we don’t have to wait very long and the baby will be here. We can work everything out then. Let’s just enjoy our time together.” Not answering he just shook his head from side to side, staring at some far off space, “Michael, what is it. Why are you being so uptight about this?” He finally looked at her, his eyes dark and pleading, “Don’t you understand? If I don’t do this right, if I don’t marry you… something bad might happen. I can’t handle it happening again Lexi. You mean too much to me.” She felt all the air sink out of her body. It had never occurred to her that he was worried about losing her to a tragedy too. She felt naïve and a bit foolish. “Hey…Mr. King of Pop?” Lexi intertwined her fingers in his. “How about we get married next summer at Neverland? Maybe July 4th…you know I really like that holiday. Our baby can be there with us too.” Michael looked up into her sparkling dark eyes and smiled through his tears. “I love that holiday too girl; we’re going to have thousands of fireworks.”

His mouth met hers as she laughed at his joke about the fireworks. The ring slipped across her knuckle perfectly as it finally sat where it belonged. Lexi ran her fingers through his hair and softly cupped his cheek in her hand. “Te amo”, her soft voice made his heart beat faster in his chest. “I love you…” he whispered back against her ear. Michael held her close breathing in her sweet smell, “I can’t believe that happened to you tonight. I’m so sorry baby.” Her kiss on his neck was comforting as she tucked her head onto the crook of his shoulder. “Michael, I don’t want to think about it anymore. I just want to forget it ever happened.” “We can’t, as weird as it sounds…I guess I’m glad it was him and not some nut that might have hurt you. But I think I need to get you a body guard.” Lexi sat up staring at Michael, “Have you lost your mind? There is no way I am allowing that..NO WAY!” He pulled her back into his chest, “Come on, come here girl. You know how crazy it can get, and if we can’t keep this story about the baby hidden, the press is going to go out of their minds.” “I beg your pardon? Story about the baby? Michael stop talking about me like I am one of your problems to work out with your Public Relations firm.” Lexi started to stand as Michael began to talk, “I know, you’re right, I guess it’s kind of a bad habit of mine. Listen, Lex…how about you let me get a really good alarm system installed for now? It would make me feel better at least.” She smiled as he looked up at her so sweetly, “Ok that’s fine, I would have used it tonight. One with a remote control panic alarm.” “Alright, I want it installed for you by the time I leave for the desert. You are going to come down with me aren’t you?” He had stood up, and was lightly holding her hand waiting for an answer. Lexi absently mindedly rubbed her belly and frowned. “Uh huh…you can go be Mr. Creative without me. I would just be in your way.” His body language gave him away as his shoulders slumped and he seemed to become almost dejected. “I don’t blame you. It’s boring and everybody is bound to ask a lot of questions. I wonder if I even care anymore about that Lex…I think we should tell them.” Lexi laughed, “Well then I would need a body guard Michael, because we would be on the cover of every magazine in the world. Let’s just keep it a secret as long as we can. It’s bound to get out sooner or later and I am not really looking forward to dealing with it.” Walking off to the kitchen she opened the freezer and pulled out the ice cream. “I am making a banana split, do you want one?” Watching her behind as she walked away he lay down on the couch and answered her, “No, I have to be good. Wait till you see my wardrobe for the shoot. Jeans and a tank top, at least I’ll be comfortable.” Lexi sat down beside him on the couch and gave him a bite of her dessert. “Yeah well, you are going to be more than comfortable.” Dipping his finger in her bowl he let her lick the whip cream off, “Huh, what are you talking about girl?” Wrapping her lips around his finger she sucked seductively on it until it was clean of all the sticky cream, “Ummm…..thats good, I was talking about your wardrobe for the video. I saw the story boards the other day and you are going to look really sexy dressed like that Babe.” Michael reached for her spoon and took another bite of her ice cream, “Really? He did a great job with Jan’s video so I trust him.” Lexi watched him as he took another bite of her ice cream and smiled, “You’ll be great, I can’t wait till it’s finished.”

Suddenly he pulled her forward and kissed her hard pushing her lips apart. She struggled at first but relaxed and giggled as she felt the juice from a cherry spray into her mouth as he bit it in two and shared it with her. When he finally swallowed he licked her lips lightly with the tip of his tongue, “Cherry flavored lips, so sweet. Some men dream about them and I get to have them to kiss. How lucky am I?” Leaning down Lexi once again reached for his mouth and kissed him softly. “I think I am finished with this, you made me want something different for dessert now.” She turned to leave but Michael caught her and spun her back around. Reaching into the dish, he dipped a giant strawberry in the whipped cream and held it to her mouth. “Take a bite!” She watched his eyes as he fed her the berry and noticed the imperceptible widening of his pupils as she bit down into the berry. “Is it good?” he asked rubbing his thumb across her mouth. Lexi pulled his thumb in between her lips and sucked. It was obvious what she was mimicking and Michael’s body responded. “Damn girl, you sure know what you’re doing there don’t you?” Releasing his thumb she smiled wickedly and walked into the kitchen to wash her dish. As she started to set it down Michael pressed her against the counter. Her hair was still slightly damp from earlier as he pulled it off her neck and placed his lips right behind her ear. Lexi sat the dessert down with a thud; involuntarily moving back towards him. His hands stroked her under the oversized sweatshirt and his lips moved seductively over her neck and shoulders. Michael could see her chest rise and fall as she became more turned on by his touch. “Damn girl, I want you right here.” She could feel his arousal as she leaned back into his embrace. Looking up she saw that his eyes were burning for her as his lips captured her mouth in a frantic kiss. The groan of desire that she heard made her knees weak and she was thankful that he had a firm grip on her arms. Turning around she let him explore her neck as his mouth softly found all her secret spots.  Lifting the sweatshirt over her head he tossed it aside carelessly. When his large hands cupped her breasts, Lexi’s head tilted back and her eyes closed in expectation. Softly his fingertips grazed over her nipples and she flinched slightly at his touch. Michael reached his arms around her and gently lifted her onto the countertop so that she was sitting in front of him. “There…now I can take my time with you. Let’s see, where was I…” Leaning back on her palms she let Michael explore her with his lips and hands. Once again he returned to her nipples, gently sliding his thumb across the surface before dropping his head to bring his lips down to pull it in delicately. Her reaction startled him and he drew his mouth away and softly asked, “Did that hurt you?” Her breathing had quickened and she rose up and pulled him back to her chest, “Sensitive…but don’t stop, just be gentle.” Drawing his tongue lightly over her again he looked up into her face, “Mmm, is that OK?” Nodding her head slightly, he continued, “They’re darker and they are bigger. It’s so sexy to me…god you’re beautiful Lex.” Michael returned his mouth to her reveling in the softness he found as he explored her changing body. Lexi bent forward and placed soft kisses on the top of his head before once again leaning back to allow him more access. As she put her hand down she accidently put her fingers in the dish of ice cream. Half eaten it still lay beside them on the cabinet where she left it when Michael had cornered her. “Michael” she softly called. “Michael” again she called his name, and when he opened his eyes she allowed the drops of ice cream to slide off of her fingers and onto the opposite breast. His eyes narrowed slightly before he reached for her still sticky fingers and sucked them clean. “You are a naughty girl Miss Garcia.” Michael could see traces of chocolate and strawberry and his tongue rotated around her still swollen nipple. The sweetness of the dessert along with the tiny bit of salt from the perspiration that had sprung up from her arousal stimulated him even more as he sucked it off of her. Pulling her hips out to the end of the counter he laid her down and pulled off her panties. For a moment he just stared at her lying underneath him. Her golden body quivering, waiting for his next touch. He noted the swell of her belly as it rose above her hips and her breasts that were full, sensitive and erotic. “I hope you don’t mind this…” Michael reached for the remainder of the banana split and held it above her and slowly let it drizzle over her. Lexi twisted and turned at first from the shock of the cold but soon arched up into the warmth of Michaels lips and tongue as he gleefully licked the mixture away from her body.

Lexi watched as he licked the last of the whipped cream away from her belly and she smiled at him when he lifted his head up with a silly grin that made her breath seem to catch in her throat. Reaching for his t-shirt she pulled it over his head and tossed it to the floor. “I want you Baby, oh my god. You have me so turned on right now.” Reaching down she felt him hard underneath her hand, and she opened the snap on his pajamas and stroked him as he lay over her. His breath was heavy in her ear, “Tell me what you want baby?” Lexi moaned against his neck, “I want you Michael…I told you.” Pushing her hand away from his shaft he rubbed it on her leg as he moved his hips slowly back and forth. “You have me girl, I’m right here. Now tell me what you really want.” Michael licked his fingers and then rubbed them lightly across her sex before sinking them in slightly, checking to see if she was ready. “Your wet baby, tell me what’s going on?”  Kissing her passionately he waited for her to speak and he felt her hips moving against him, fervently hoping she would finally tell him what she wanted. Lexi pulled away from his kiss, her breathing almost a gasp. “Michael, make love to me. Please. I can’t wait any longer.” Stepping away from her for a moment he pulled off his pajama bottoms and took her hand wrapping it around him again. Together they stroked until Lexi moved him in front of her entrance. “Now Baby, I want you right now.” As he moved inside he felt her shudder until he finally buried himself against her thighs. Grabbing his hands Lexi pulled against him and wrapped her legs around his waist. Pushing and pulling, they used each other to move as one while they built toward their orgasm. Looking up at Michael, Lexi could see the concentration across his face as he started to circle his hips back and forth into hers. His brows furrowed together and his lips pursed as he concentrated on his lovemaking. Michael grabbed her hips and began to drive harder, “Come on girl…I know you’re not done yet.” He always knew how to get her to the edge and she felt herself about to step of the cliff. Lifting her off the counter he held in his arms. “You know you want to come after all that…damn girl.” Michael whispered in her ear as he moved to the wall. When he held her up, he wrapped her thigh around his hip as he returned to his thrusts. Lexi’s cry let him know she was close…as close as he was. “Michael, yes…that’s it.” Her head flew back as a moan of ecstasy escaped her lips. Michael felt her contract around him and he met her with an ecstatic moan of his own. Lexi felt her back burning as he pushed her against the wall and thrust into quicker and quicker. The heat of his orgasm quickly burned through his spine and Lexi felt his body shudder as he pushed for the final time inside her.

He was drained and he had to slide her down so she wouldn’t fall to the floor. Michael’s face lay against her chest for a long while after they finished, and when he finally tried to get up they were both sticky from the ice cream he had poured all over her earlier. Laughing together he extended his hand and helped her up. She stood and he held her hand for a moment and looked at the ring, “Are you sure you want to wait till next July, how about this July instead?” Lexi laughed and kissed him, “I want to be home at Neverland Michael. I want to stand up on the hill and watch the fireworks with you. Next year you have a nice long break and we can relax with the baby.” Picking their clothes up off of the floor he smiled and agreed, “Alright, I guess you have a point. Come on; let’s go get all this sticky stuff off of us. You can torture me some more in the shower I guess. “

Michael had a morning meeting at Sandy’s office. He tried to ignore the advances of Melissa as she brought him coffee and paperwork. Noticing his ring, she kept trying to bring it up in conversation and finally had the opportunity since Michael’s wardrobe arrived for the video. “Michael, this just arrived. It’s your costume for the shoot. Would you like me to go over the inventory?” Michael looked up from his paperwork that Sandy had requested his signature on, “Sure, that would be fine.” She lined all the items out on the table to tag them for wardrobe and noted audibly that there was no jewelry in the package. “Melissa, is there something that you want to ask me?” His eyes never left the contract he had in his hand. “Well Michael I was just wondering if there was anything else you wanted to add to this so I could note it for wardrobe.” Melissa pulled out the tags and waited on Michael to respond. He finished reading the page and set the contract down, “Actually Melissa I do, but I want to run it by you first. I trust your opinion on things.” Smiling she sat down and waited to hear what he had to say and Michael didn’t disappoint as he stood and walked over to her and took her by the hand. “Come here Melissa.” She felt her insides turn over as he took her hand and walked her over to the clothing. “You see all this here; this all belongs on the video shoot. It is perfect and I think it will be really comfortable out in the heat of the desert.” Walking around he stood behind her, “You know it’s really busy on the set right?” Melissa nodded nervously wondering what he was going to do next. “Sometime I am in my trailer and I need someone to talk to, you know?” She felt her pulse pounding and she moved back to be closer to him, “Melissa, when we go on this video shoot I need you to do something for me.” Michael’s voice was barely a whisper and she leaned her body against his to hear him speak, “Whatever you want Michael, I’ll do it.” Michael smiled and spoke gently into her ear, “Good, I’m really glad to hear that. Melissa I need you to stay home and stay away from me.” Spinning around she clung to his shirt, “What! What do you mean stay away? Michael, I have to go…you need me there.” Holding her wrist he confronted her with the truth, “I saw you Melissa. I know you watched me in the trailer that night with my Fiancée. Leave us alone. I can’t trust you.” She was shocked, “Fiancée?” “Yes, stay home or you won’t have a job…is that clear?” Stumbling away she started to open the door but Michael stopped her before she left, “I trust that your non-disclosure agreement is still in effect Melissa?” A slight smile crossed his face as he heard the door slam behind her. Michael picked up the document he had been reading and signed his name across the bottom just as the intercom beeped into the room. “Mr. Jackson you have a visitor in the lobby.” “Who is it Mary?” “It’s your Father Sir.”

Michael dropped the pen and stood there clenching his fists, “Bring him back immediately.” Mary stared at the phone for a moment as she wasn’t sure who answered her on the intercom, it didn’t sound like Mr. Jackson. The person who answered sounded so angry…..

Oh my god ! Joseph is really mean to her and Michael ! How can anybody be like that ? He should be proud of his son !! Pool Lexi, it’s not healthy to deal with all of this stuff when you’re pregnant. It shouldn’t be this way.
I’m so glad Michael could make her forget it all. They were so beautiful together ! I’m glad he finally realizes what is important ! I hope he will make clear to Joseph what his intentions are and that Joseph has to stay away from them !
Thanks for this lovely chapter !!

Yay! I stayed up so late to read it, and I read continuously while at work!. Great chapter. I appreciate Lexi’s reluctance to fully commit to marrying Michael, and I feel so bad that Michael thinks something bad will happen if he doesnt before the baby is born. I CANT wait until he confronts Joseph.

This story is soo realistic and so complex.

Youre doing an awesome job!

Great update. OMG! Joseph’s a mess! And I love how Michael handled Melissa. LOL! “Stay home…” Haaaa! Keep up the good work! Please update soon…

I like the way Mike handled Melissa. That was perfect!

Glad y’all enjoyed it. They needed some time to talk…work through some things.

Joseph is forever trying to control his “investment” How dare he touch her like that!!! Disgusting!

Melissa finally got told!

Damn this is getting too good! Joesph aint shit…deadass he aint no damn good. Poor Lexi…she will be strong from that shit.

Michael handled Melissa very well…that shit was funny she was thinkin she was finally gonna get some dick from him and getting hot and bothered lol played her ass too good! lmao!

Damn Mike about to lay it on his Father!…thats right Mike…go in! lol

Keep it up DangerousPYT babe…can’t wait to read more <3

Hahaha you already have me laughing in the FIRST SENTENCE! “It was well past seven PM when Lexi was finally able to close her accounting books, use the restroom (AGAIN)” — boy, do I know all to well what that’s like! Such a damn nuisance! LOL

And then, of course, you quickly snap me out of my laughter and straight to disgust with that shoe-shined-quick-tongued-southern-drawl-spoken-menacing Mr. Jackson. Ugh!

“Well I been trying ta talk ta my Son, but it seems he don wanna talk ta me now he got you around all the time. Dats gonna have ta change, ya hear?”—> I just shuddered reading that. Sounds too real. Extremely creepy. And then his actions that follow this comment to Lexi…beyond offensive. In a word: unsettling (to say the least)

Goodness I don’t know who to feel more sorry for at the moment? Lexi because of all the obviouses—current situation with Michael cheating, Joe & his unwarranted advances/threats, & on top of it all having the extra burden of being pregnant (just to be clear–the pregnancy being the burden, not the unborn child. That, of course, is a blessing)

Then there’s Michael. Who, because of his indiscretions, is now filled with guilt (as he should be) but nonetheless, he probably automatically assumed Lexi’s reaction had something to do with Diana (& I wonder if that will be a reoccurring problem in the future everytime Lexi seems upset) Plus, since he doesn’t know Lexi even saw his father, once (and if) he learns the real reason why she’s upset it may come crashing down on him even more. Also, of all people to hurt him—it HAS to be HIS father hurting him both indirectly and directly by going after Lexi. Unfortunately so, seems like Mr. Joe has learned nothing from the past. So back to my original question, it’s tough to choose. I’m gonna go with tie. (At least for now)

As much as I hate to see Michael in pain…I gotta say for fanfic purposes I LOVE ME SOME ANGRY MIKE!!!! WOOOOOO!! Yes! Raise your voice! Slam that phone into the wall!! Rip Lexi’s clothes off and drive into her hard! Oh wait…sorry…that last part didn’t happen? Okay, okay, I got carried away. I apologize. LOL! 😉

“Hey, you still with me girl?” Michael pulled her face around with his finger under her chin. “You are still going to marry me right.”—>This little scene right here had me awww-ing like crazy. As hot as he is angry, he is irresistibly cute when he acts like a lost puppy dog. I’m swooning!

Loved Lexi’s answer to his marriage proposal because she kept it real with him, said how she truly felt & still accepted without having to compromise her own terms. YAY! So happy for them! But that Joe drama still lingers in the back of my mind. Ugh!

AND OH MY GOD YOU ARE WRITING MY 9 1/2 weeks fantasy!!!!! You KNOW how much I love that movie!!! I was so PLEASED I can’t even put together a cohesive thought to express the way this scene made me feel. My mind is like buttah after that. Creamy, spreadable, soft BUTTAH! Utterly brillant and completely fulfilling. That scene literally was a DESSERT to read! 😉 haha

And Michael whispering with a fierce & piercing tone into that hoe Melissa’s ear was like another scoop of buttah pecan added to my Dessert. Deeeelicious! I’m afraid though that we haven’t seen or heard the last of her. I swear if she f-cks things up for Mike & Lexi I will flip out & she does not want that. Trust me! I’m Italian & I do have friends in low places. Enough said. LOOOL! Amazing chapter as always!! Keep them coming! Can never get enough!!! xoxo

@Maria
Ahhhh, it really is “soooo gooood” to have you back where you belong!

(once (and if) he learns the real reason why she’s upset it may come crashing down on him even more)

Oh he knows…he figured it out here:

(“How does he know, you didn’t tell him did you?” Michael looked into her eyes knowing the truth already, “No, he touched…he felt the baby)

I dont think Joseph should be trying to confront Mike in that room!

So glad you liked your Banana Split girl….it was mighty mighty tasty wasn’t it!!!

This is the best blog, i’ve ever seen, bookmarked

Stopping in for some re-reading :-). one of my favourite chapters….
